Pippi
When she first came to us she was extremely fearful of everything and everyone except our 8 year old pet dog Magee. She did not know how to go up and down stairs and was afraid to eat out of a bowl. After several days of watching Magee she learned how to navigate the stairs and will now eat from a bowl, though we continue to hand feed her to help build her comfort with humans. She enjoys squeaky toys and has begun to play with Magee, who has helped her come out of her shell. She would do best in a home without small children and with a calm other dog.

She has not had a single accident in the house since
she arrived and she sleeps through the night in her crate in our bedroom. She will go on short walks in the neighborhood, but prefers to walk when it is quiet. She becomes easily spooked when she hears any loud noises or sees people or cars. She especially likes to walk on the nature trail behind our house and enjoys sniffing the scents of deer and rabbits.

She is a constant companion and wants to be by your side as much as possible. Pippi is definitely making progress each day. When I let her out of her crate on New Year's morning she became all wiggly and approached me for pats. She is a wonderful companion dog that wants to be near you all the time. As I am writing this she is curled up on the floor beside me.
